![]() Save frequently, my game didn't lock up so much this last playthrough of 6, but it does freeze from time to time. I probably missed a thing or 2, but there are a few others who frequent here that could probably tell you some of the finer points I may have missed. Mad God's Forge Editor has an option to address this, but then powerful enemies with ranged attacks will go nuts on you and waste your entire group (really only in issue in 7). Ranged weapons do not attack multiple times in 6 or 7. If you take a Ranger in your group consider not giving them a bow, but rather an extended range weapon of some kind. After your Kirijutsu classes build that skill up decently, maybe toss some points into their respective spell skills, Alchemy/Thaum/Theosophy. Not necessary but will really help when you want to toss out a big spell in the middle of a tough combat. Using spells in combat builds up your Oratory skill, so maybe in some combats use your bard to put everything to sleep then spam level 1 non damaging spells like Bless or Sleep to help build that up. Lords should focus on building their Theology, and so should Valkyrie. Focus on building your bard's Thaumaturgy skill, the rest of what they should be doing builds up with use. ![]() Be sure everyone who can hide hides in combat so they can build that up without investing skill points, and make sure your bard (I'd highly recommend you take a bard) uses his/her lute in every fight to build his/her music skill. If you have a bard, let them handle the lock picking. If you have a ninja, and don't have a bard, toss maybe 10 points into skullduggery to get them started on picking locks, then let them practice on doors in the start of the castle. Certain classes get a skill called Kirijutsu which is their Critical Strike ability. Which skills should I focus on when leveling up? Are there some that are essential or useless? I found Legerdemain totally worthless in 6. POLE7645: As for the party, I have a pretty good idea of what I'd want to have (having read most of the threads related to it), but I wonder one thing. Guides for Wizardry 6 are rather scarce and I'd like to have an idea about what to do at the beginning (and if there are good grinding tips, what are they? Hey, in all of those early 90s RPGs, grinding is essential for survival (I learned that the hard way)). Which skills should I focus on when leveling up? Are there some that are essential or useless?Īnd finally, I'd like to know what I should do starting up. Is that normal behavior? If so, is there a way to generate a character outside of the in-game character generator? I don't want to cheat, but if I have to completely create and delete a character to re-roll stats, I'll go insane.Īs for the party, I have a pretty good idea of what I'd want to have (having read most of the threads related to it), but I wonder one thing. I don't know what I should do to get the characters that I want. I tried restarting the game, but I get the exact same stats. Meaning that I can't get the classes that I want. Somehow, I can't seem to re-roll stats when I get them.
